Year: 2017
Major: Management for Sustainablility
Bucknell Activities: Writer for The Bucknellian (she just interviewed RJ Mitte from Breaking Bad!), Event Coordinator for Net Impact (Environmental & Social Impact for Change on Campus)
Where to Find Her on Campus: Going to Cardio Pilates, struggling to get a booth at 7th Street & on the second floor floor of Bertrand overlooking Academic West.
Random Facts: I always have a shade of red or coral nail polish on at all times, hate running late, have a brother graduating from Vanderbilt & you can always catch me going on a run around campus. (She also got number four in the housing lottery- hey it was a special moment at the time).
I am a big fan of Madewell, Alice & Olivia and Joie as well as Vineyard Vines. I also use Trish McEvoy for makeup and jewelry I wear these earrings called Miguels at a store called BB Clover where I live. I am a huge fan of Kate Spade, and always wear Chloe perfume. For room inspiration, I follow a blog called Lemon Stripes as well as my friends and things I have collected from traveling.
Three words to describe your style?
"Hippy preppy," creative & edgy I definitely like to pair off classic pieces with colorful patterns and fllowy dresses & tops.
Where do you get your inspiration from?
All the women in my family. And Alexa Chung. My mom used to be a buyer for Bloomingdales before becoming a realtor and my aunt is a coordinator for Neiman Marcus. Because I have been to a lot of open houses, I get my decorating inspiration from one of my favorite blogs, Lemon Stripes.
Silver or gold? And what are some of your favorite jewelry items?
I definitely like gold. As for jewelry, my most sedimental are my mom's Columbia ring, my Cartier love bracelet, green monogram necklace & a pair of simple pearl earrings.
What are some of your plans for the summer?
I am working at a store that sells Tuckernuck items and more called Verdi Blu and will be working at the pro shop in a local country club.
What are your plans for life after Bucknell?
Hopefully working for some kind of environmental company or journalistic career. My favorite part is the campus and the friends I have made so far. As for sophomore year I am hoping to make more of a difference with my impact and joining Greek life.
What advice would you give yourself a year ago or for any incoming freshmen this year?
I think I would tell myself or to incoming freshmen is to be open to everything and manage your time so that you can be as involved as possible because if you're involved on this campus, you feel that you are apart of it. Being part of The Bucknellian, I'm not just doing school, I'm doing something that can lead to so many more opportunities in the future.
