Life Updates + My New Camera!

So sorry for the delay in posts, I suppose my plan to get on track has not been going the way I hoped. Between finals, traveling for regattas, the end of crew, packing and figuring out plans, I am absolutely exhausted. It's funny how in the summer it seems that things are supposed to slow down, yet right now everything is still quite chaotic. I am currently writing this during my one day home then returning to school for a week for our championships and then going home (finally!) for a month before leaving for camp.

Anyway, for the longest time, I have been thinking about investing in a good quality camera that I could use to get more photographs of my own. I remember when I got my first camera in the 4th grade. It was a Nikon Coolpix L4, back when digital cameras were such a new concept. I remember how much I absolutely loved it (almost as good as my Barbie camera when I was 5).

Flash forward almost 10 years later and I finally made the jump to the Canon T3I, which has already proven to be one of the best purchases I think I have ever made. There is something about taking photos with a really good camera that is so satisfying. The Canons are not only really affordable for a DSLR, but also has a pop out viewfinder and can shoot HD video. Definitely a keeper.

Happy Saturday! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

  1. I found you as I was trying to compare Bucknell vs. UVA. On page one, I was held in suspense as to which school you selected. I thought you were going to go with UVA; just the way you presented your thoughts.
I am a big fan of Bucknell academics as a pal of mine went there, engineering school and not a patent attorney. A brainiac. So, kudos, good choice, you will graduate with good tickets and get a job where you can continue to learn. $later
