Growing up, I always loved doing arts and crafts projects and always tried to make my art look like the ones in the pictures, and like all the "Pinterest fails," they usually looked like nothing in the picture. Despite this usual fate, I came across this recipe on Pinterest and decided to make this for a dinner to impress everyone...and surprisingly, it kind of came out ok. It makes a great dessert for a picnic or BBQ and is an easy thing to add to your "list of possible Pinterest projects." This video does a pretty good job of explaining how to do it, but some of my tips are a) the cutting of the watermelon is pretty difficult, so you might have to cut away at the rind instead of recreating the picture on the left b) make sure the watermelon is seedless and c) place the watermelon in the fridge so that the fruit can stick to the "cake."
