Random fact of my life: when I was younger I was basically raised on clam chowder (and macaroni and cheese). Every Sunday on grocery day, I would pick out about four cans of the stuff and would order it at every seafood restaurant when I had the chance. When I came to Oak Bluffs on Saturday, I was starving and decided to try and look for some seafood (my dad has always instilled in me to seek out seafood wherever it's fresh).
I stumbled across the Martha's Vineyard Chowder Company. With reviews on the menu stating that it had been rated the best chowder in New England, of course I had to try it. It was delicious, the burgers (and fries) were amazing- definitely get the grilled onions on top, but the service was what made me want to write a review. I have never had faster service at a restaurant ever. Even being seated during lunch hour traffic, I was outside with a great view of the town.
The view of the harbor from town- not too shabby. |
If you find yourself on the Vineyard, particularly in Oak Bluffs, definitely check out The Martha's Vineyard Chowder Company!
