Nostalgia Sunday

An oldie but goodie taken at the end of freshman year right before moving out of the dorms
What better way to start a nostalgic post better than a cliche quote? "The hours of 12 am - 6am have a funny way of feeling on top of the world, or under it." Though it is not the middle of the night and I do not feel particularly at the top or bottom of the world, for some reason this quote really struck me.

I have suddenly realized how quickly my time in college is going by, and I don't know whether to fear it or embrace it. I was scrolling through my newsfeed and came across the Bucknell channel and found a video from orientation freshman year (honestly, it still gets me excited about the start of a school year). In some ways it feels like yesterday, in others a lifetime ago. Things certainly have come a long way since this post... Though I still have two years (hopefully- just kidding Mom and Dad) with going abroad, I won't see many of my friends until senior year.

I really do go to the best school. Though the decision was made at 11 pm late before Thanksgiving my senior year that "I'm just gonna do it," (in context, I was in the recruitment process and just needed to decide on a school) I don't think I could have made a better decision. I have no idea what will happen in five years, at graduation or even this summer, but maybe that's a good thing. In so many ways, the unknown is scary, but in so many other ways, it gives you the greatest inspiration. Sorry for being scatterbrained- not really sure where this post went, but thanks for reading it anyway!

Have a great week!

  1. It's so crazy to think about isn't it? Time is flying and we've got a one-way ticket forward!
