The Luck of the Irish

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Are you wearing green? I always love any excuse for a holiday. One of my favorite memories from childhood was the time honored tradition of 1st graders making traps for leprechauns and every year there was always the kid who swore they saw it- ok, kid. For someone who is half Irish, I would consider myself pretty unlucky. Murphy's Law is something that I consider a lifestyle because the "anything that can go bad will" situation happens a little more than I would like. Luck is something that comes up so much in movies, books, TV and a lot of quotes. What more of an appropriate day to share some favorites? Also, if you're feeling particularly spirited, here are a couple of yummy St. Patty's Day treats from Pinterest.

You gotta try your luck at least once a day, because you could be going around lucky all day and not even know it. - Jimmy Dean
Luck is believing you're lucky. - Tennessee Williams

The only good luck many great men ever had was being born with the ability and determination to overcome bad luck. - Channing Pollock

Luck? I don't know anything about luck. I've never banked on it and I'm afraid of people who do. Luck to me is something else: Hard work - and realizing what is opportunity and what isn't. - Lucille Ball

Luck is when opportunity meets preparation. - Denzel Washington (love this one!)

I've found that luck is quite predictable. If you want more luck, take more chances. Be more active. Show up more often. - Brian Tracy

Have a great day- go out there an make your own luck! {Image}
