Invisalign

A while back, I made my own 101 in 1001 list of goals and thing I wanted to accomplish. (By the way, the list is now on my "about" tab if you wanna check it out.)  One of the big things on the list was finally doing all the things to my teeth that I had been putting off for about five years, including getting my wisdom teeth out and finally getting Invisalign.

I've never had bad teeth (or needed to get braces) but they have never been great either. Every time I've gone into my dentist, I've always asked about possibility of getting it done and after maybe five years, I decided to finally bite the bullet and do it. The plan is that I get new plastic thin retainers, and swap them out every two weeks for the next eight months. The progress will be gradual, but it will eventually mold my teeth into the shape that I want. Though they are much better than braces and are virtually unnoticeable to people, they require a lot more work than I thought. To start, they are a bit painful in the beginning and take some getting used to (it's like living with a mouth guard on at all times) and there is no subtle way to take them out every meal to which you have to follow up by brushing your teeth. However I think the pros outweigh the cons and hopefully I'll get fully used to having them in then have a perfect smile in no time!

Have you ever had or thought  Invisalign? I'd love to know!
