Pranksgiving | Some people call it "Friendsgiving," but in 2010, my friends and I wanted to be original. (Pranksgiving = Pre Thanksgiving) I've hosted it every year with my friends from high school and this year, the tradition is being carried on even though I can't be there myself. My parents love getting to see everyone and since it's a potluck, there is no mess in the kitchen!
Letters from Family Members | I am really fortunate to have all four of my grandparents still alive. Throughout the past few months, I have asked each of them to write a letter of advice that I can read to my own grandchildren. I treasure these letter and the advice of those who have such incredible insight on what's important in this life. This doesn't have to be just grandparents, but any aunt, great uncle or cousin!
Polaroids | The instant cameras are very trendy, but for good reason- they make amazing, one-of-a-kind keepsakes. (They are also a great form of bribery for babysitting and little kids in general.)
Scrapbooking | Kind of cliche, but keeping track of little tidbits from vacations are great ways of keeping track of memories throughout the years. (I've found it's better to do it as you go so there isn't a huge mess of papers in your bags.)
www.futureme.org | I wrote a letter to myself a couple of years ago, and got it sent on a stressful day. It totally made my week and I highly recommend it!
