In our last week (ish) in London, Margaret and I decided to finally go to a high tea in the city. Growing up in a very British family on my mother's side, I've always understood the sacredness of tea time, but have never been to a really fancy one. It ended up being one of the highlights of the trip was the perfect way to the end our semester.
Everyone told us that we needed to go to Sketch, so we made our way down Oxford Street. It was truly amazing. The entire place is decorated in a classic elegance meets Alice in Wonderland fantasy. It's a bit hard to describe and though I wish I could have busted out my camera, I didn't want to spend the entire time trying to sneak photos of everything. We had tea, scones, raspberry bellinis, sandwiches, pastries and cakes- well worth it!

If you go, make sure to check out the bathrooms. Each stall is an individual pod that played Christmas music with candles leading up the stairs. It felt about as close to experiencing what it would be like to be in a futuristic world.
Have a great week!
